Newsroom: Ace Hardware Big Sky

July 30, 2020

“Since converting from True Value to Ace, we will have experienced sales growth of more than 4 times. A significant contributor to this growth came from moving into a new store and location, made possible by Ace’s conversion and development initiatives. Throughout my time as a conversion prospect, I had directed the Ace representatives that every conversation regarding my conversion must include a plan on relocating our store. I worked with Ross Alvord on and off for 5 years prior to converting. We then worked for 2 more years to select a site and get a new store up and open. By the time I had finally converted to Ace, I knew more Ace representatives than I had known in 20 years with True Value. Ace was consistent and persistent without being aggressive or overbearing. It was clear that they wanted my business, and in the time it took me to make the decision to switch co-ops, I had come to know what to expect of Ace. The strength of the Ace model lies in the professionalism, expertise and leadership demonstrated by the executive team and filtered down through the field staff who we interact with on a regular basis. As a corporation, Ace is helpful from the top down. Converting to Ace has proven to be one of the very best business decisions I have ever made.”
