“Prior to the change, sales had become stagnant for a period of years. This due in part to the slowing of the economy in 2008, the influx of big box stores into our market and the lack of effectiveness of the True Value marketing program. We feel that our store has benefited from the Ace national advertising program (especially national network TV), the cutting edge and more aggressive Rewards program and the consistent consumer image of “Ace is the Place…” The “Helpful 101” and other training programs for our associates have also been a huge benefit to both the store and our customers.”
